How does NBA All-Star Kevin Love manage his anxiety? Breathwork. “I don’t think most people breathe right,” said Love. "I certainly don’t. I forget to exhale.” Love changed the way he approached his mental health after experiencing a panic attack in the middle of an National Basketball Association (NBA) game in 2017. Since then, Love has learned to manage his mental health using nature, workouts, journaling, and living out his life’s purpose. But he also recognizes the solutions are different for everyone. “You can’t treat two people the same way. Many people lack access to quality financial-literacy resources that are necessary for success. According to Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz, leaders can and should take several steps to enhance financial education for the next generation and help bridge the gap in financial literacy. These steps include encouraging businesses to support local financial-literacy initiatives, providing training and mentorship opportunities, advocating for financial education in school curriculum, and prioritizing money matters in family conversations at home. Preparation is the key to a successful interview. “Practice out loud, record yourself, record voice notes on video, whatever works for you just to get comfortable and build your confidence for that interview setting,” advises Claire Hogan, Head of Global Talent at American Express. “The candidates who are comfortable enough and confident enough to be authentic in that interview setting are really, really well prepared.” What’s your best tip for interviewing?
